  • Slide the slider to turn off the power to the right
  • Press and hold down the on/Off button on the top of iPhone for 3 seconds
  • Press and hold down the Home while still holding down the on/Off button
  • Keep holding both buttons down for 10 seconds
  • Let go of the on/Off Button but keep holding the Home button for about 5 seconds
  • If the screen stays black, it means you be in DFU mode


Way 4: My iPhone Won't charge after Update

The iPhone cannot be charged after updating:

If no methods can fix the iPhone charging problem, try restoring it to factory. This process deletes all information and settings on your device.

You can restore iPhone to factory by following these steps:


  • If you want to save the information in the iPhone, please backup the data
  • Download and install the latest version of iTunes on computer
  • Launch iTunes and connect to iPhone on your computer
  • Select the device shown in iTunes
  • In the "Summary" panel, click "Restore iPhone..." and then click "Restore" again to confirm the action
