iPhone 6 touch screen stopped working may be a software conflict, and a malware attack causes the operating system to crash. Or it is a fault of the iPhone screen, the motherboard, the connection cable, etc. These are some steps to fix your iPhone 6/6 Plus touch screen is not responding!
Part 1: Easy Ways to Fix iPhone 6 Touch Screen Not Working or Responding
Solution 1: Force Your iPhone to Restart
As we all know, "forced restart"will cause the crashed operating system to restart and fix some software conflicts. Therefore, if the screen caused by the problem does not work, you can try this method.
Solution 2: iPhone Settings
Please check the 3D Touch sensitivity setting. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > 3D Touch and adjust the sensitivity slider.
Solution 3: Update the IOS
Make sure whether there are IOS updates to install. Some system updates can fix some issues that cause no response on the screen.
Solution 4: Restore iPhone
Trying to restore it to the factory settings is the same as the new machine you just purchased, which will lose the data in your phone. Make sure to use iCloud or an external device to back up your files.
How to Restore iPhone to Factory:
4.1 Connect your phone to your computer and open iTunes.
4.2 You need to select the device in the upper left menu. If you do not have the latest data backup, click "Backup Now" and wait for it to be backed up.
4.3 Then, click Restore iPhone and confirm.
If the touch screen not working properly due to software factors, the touch screen can be normal after the device isrestored.
Part 2: Design Defects
The Touch IC chip on the logic board of the iPhone 6 is partially detached. For example, when the mobile phone is stored in the trouser pocket, the mobile phone is slightly bent, causing intermittent electrical connection, causing the screen not responding to touch.
In later iPhone models, the touch IC chip was moved to the display assembly, which is why 6S and 6S Plus are not affected. In older phones, the chip is protected by a metal shield and is therefore unaffected.
Temporary solution: Apply pressure on the screen or slightly reverse it to solve the problem - it forces the touch IC chip to re-contact the logic board.
Permanent solution: A rugged phone case or some repair shop can re-weld the touch IC chip for permanent connection, and some also apply a metal plate on the chip to prevent the problem from happening again.
Part 3: Touch Screen is Not Working after Replace
If your iPhone 6 is dropped or the water is damaged, iphone 6 may be unresponsive. Also, if you change the screen and find that the screen is not responding, it may be a problem with a low-quality screen. You need to replace the broken screen with an original touchscreen and a screen replacement guide.
Part 4: Half of Touch Screen is Not Working
If your phone is broken after dropping or half of the screen doesn't work, you usually need to change the phone parts to solve.
Test screen cable:
1.Remove the screen from your phone
2.Carefully clean the connector and install the screen back
3.If the problem is not resolved, then you may need to change the screen or screen cable
